Trade show lunches facilitate business contacts, new friendships

Passing information to future generations of Auctioneers

Food wasn’t the only thing available during Networking Lunches on the trade show floor at Conference and Show.

NAA Auctioneer Kelly Montgomery says as a young professional new to the industry, the lunches helped her meet new people.

“I’m new to the industry, so it’s really interesting to hear everyone’s stories and discover how they do things,” Montgomery says.

NAA veteran Erin Doherty, CAI, BAS, Bay Shore, N.Y., says what continues to bring her to the Networking Lunches is the interactions with new members.

“I just sit with new Auctioneers and new organization members,” Doherty says. “It’s good to talk to new people and discover why they come in and how they operate.”

The final Networking Lunch is Friday, July 16.
